My Journey in some way mirrors my passion...

Anyone that knows me can tell you that if I have a passion about something, look out....I've always worked with my hands in some way through out my life, starting at a young age working with my father, learning how to do something right the first time.. Spending time with my Grandfather J. Hue, learning how to bait a hook or just feed the sheep. Always searching for a passion that would be enjoyable and that could be used to give back or impact someones life.

It wasn't until later in life that I found that, that passion to see the potential in something dead and and give it new life. To take a piece of Deadwood and
turn it into a piece of art and needing it to be something utilitarian that I would use every day, I started making cutting boards, pens, small turned wood pieces, bowls and then one day, someone I looked up to and now good friend of mine asked me if I could make a set of knife handles like I was making my pen blanks of course I said yes... and there you As I look around there's always something dead and I'm always looking for a way to be able to help mold and make it new again, sometimes its not in my shop, its in my daily life, it seems that there are paralles in my process and my daily walk, a constant reminder that we can always grow and learn everyday. There are always obstacles in life, 2015 has proved that so far, when bad things happen, good things arise! We are blessed beyond measure to have support and the calibre of friends that we do. We're looking forward to what's ahead.
